Heights of liquid in containers

You have a number of containers. They have different heights and different widths.

The smallest is a 100 cm3 beaker.

1 Fill the 100 cm3 beaker to the brim with water. Carefully pour it into one of the other containers.image

2 Measure the diameter (the width across) of the water in that container. Write the diameter in the table in your Notesheet.

3 Measure the depth of the water. Write the result in the table on your Notesheet.image

4 Pour the water into another container, and measure the diameter and depth of water in that.

5 Do the same for all the containers you have, and put the results in your table. Answer the questions on your Notesheet.
